Kenneth E. Koser, Ephrata, Pa., has been honored for driving 4 million accident-free miles for Earl R. Martin Inc., a 41-year-old fleet based in East Earl, Pa.

Koser has more than 33 years of safe driving with the company and was required to meet very stringent performance requirements to qualify for this prestigious award.
Koser logged his miles with the dump division of the company, transporting agriculture-related feed ingredients throughout eastern United States and Canada. The family-owned and operated company also operates tanker, dry van and reefer divisions, a truck repair shop, Martin’s Trailside Express truck stop and Martin Brokerage Inc.
Koser has previously been honored at both state and national levels for his outstanding safe driving record. In 2003, he was selected as National Driver of the Year by the National Association of Small Trucking Companies and in 2004, he was chosen as Driver of the Month by the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association.
Other employees honored for reaching Years of Service milestones were as follows: Edward Shoop of Elizabethtown; Paul Yingling of Leola; Kurt Zimmerman of Denver; Vernon Miller of Wellsboro; Rita Good, Wanda Sauder, and Dana Fox, all of East Earl; Brenda Miller of Narvon; and David Ruppert of Mt. Pleasant Mills. Safety Awards were presented to Edwin Weaver of Denver; and Paul Statts and James Cornell, both of Wellsboro.
The company currently has 10 drivers with more than a million safe miles logged for the company. Vernon Miller of Wellsboro and retired driver Marvin M. Hurst of Denver both have more than 2 million safe miles with the company.
