CFI, an international truckload carrier based in Joplin, Missouri, has named its monthly driver award recipients for January 2006:
• Company Driver of the Month: Timothy Turner started driving for CFI in 1999. He lives in Las Vegas, Nev.
• Company Team of the Month: Carl and Rebecca Holt live in San Antonio, Texas. Carl started at CFI in 1996, and Rebecca joined him in 1998.
• Contractor Driver of the Month: Russell George began his career with CFI in 1990. He resides in Dixon, Mo.
• Contractor Team of the Month: Robert Cuthbertson and Sheri McPhee both live in Stuart, Tennessee. They each joined CFI in 1998.
As the January 2006 winners, each driver and team is automatically nominated for the 2006 year-end award in their respective category. All full-time over the road drivers who have been certified as a driver at CFI for one year are eligible for the CFI driver awards.
CFI, founded in 1951, operates 2,300 tractors and more than 7,400 trailers and transports a variety of goods throughout the contiguous United States and Canada. CFI interlines with Mexican carriers at various border crossings to provide through-trailer service to Mexico.
