CFI, an international truckload carrier based in Joplin, Mo., has announced its drivers of the year for 2005. Each driver was previously honored as a driver of the month during the year
2005 was an automatic nominee for driver of the year in his or her respective category. A resolution from the Missouri State House of Representatives and a cash prize, among other prizes, were presented to each winner. The annual winners are as follows:
• Richard Norman was recognized as company driver of the year. Norman joined CFI in 1994. He lives in Lancaster, Texas.
• Marvin Peck was awarded the contractor driver of the year. He lives in Bartlesville, Okla., and joined the CFI team in 1984 and again in 2004.
• Mark and Peggy Dahlberg were named the company team of the year. Both began driving for CFI in 2002 and have driven more than 935,000 miles with CFI. They reside in Neosho, Mo.
• John and Sharon Dillinger were awarded the contractor team of the year. John and Sherri both began driving for CFI in 1999. They live in Grove, Okla.
CFI, founded in 1951, operates approximately 2,300 tractors and over 7,400 trailers and transports a variety of goods throughout the contiguous United States and Canada.
