Beginning this month, Indianapolis-based Magnum Express will pay their owner-operators $.89 a mile for all miles. Drivers were previously paying $.87 for loaded miles and $.80 for empty miles.

In addition to the nearly 10 percent pay raise, Magnum also offers a generous fuel program, with $1.289 per gallon for fuel at company fuel locations. Magnum also offers assistance to drivers on the cost of the weekly Qualcomm satellite charges. Drivers who have less than one year with Magnum will pay $15 per week for the satellite usage. Drivers with one to five years of experience with Magnum will pay $10 per week and drivers with five years or more of experience with Magnum will not pay anything for the satellite usage.
Magnum was founded in 1998 and specializes in trucking, logistics consulting, transportation management and warehousing.
