Visitors and exhibitors alike said they’ll return next year to Truck Show Latino, where crowds at the inaugural show last weekend visited booths, talked to truck recruiters and even danced in the aisles at the Fairplex in Pomona, Calif.

The show wrapped up Saturday evening after a three-day run that saw light attendance during the weekday business hours, but busy aisles in the evenings and all day Saturday. Organizers said next year’s show dates will be changed to allow more visitors to attend.
Truck Show Latino targets a large and growing demographic in the trucking industry, and many who attended the first show said they were very pleased with the Fairplex as the venue. Pomona is the heart of Southern California trucking and home to a large Latino population. The large crowds on Saturday confirmed the Latino market will support such a show.
Last weekend’s successful show reflected the Latino culture, with live music on the show floor and a festive atmosphere that did not distract from the business being conducted.
A large number of visitors met with fleet recruiters, with others inspecting the many Class 8 vehicles on display.
Large crowds on Saturday verified the Latino market will support such a show, organizers said.
Truck Show Latino was promoted through the leading Spanish language newspapers and radio stations in the greater Los Angeles area. The first-ever show was a joint venture of Independent Truck Show Management LLC and Newport Communications Group, which publishes Heavy Duty Trucking and RoadStar magazines.
