Boyd Bros. recently announced a three-cent raise for owner-operators, and will also begin using Blue Cross/Blue Shield as its group health insurance administrator.

"We are very excited with these recent additions,” said Betty Nix, director of driver personnel. “The three-cent raise is great for our owner-operators. They can make up to 95 cpm. Plus, with Blue Cross/ Blue Shield backing our Boyd Care insurance program, we can provide them with great heath care too.”
Company drivers also get the benefit of an annual average income of $64,000 a year, which the firm says is high for the flatbed industry.
Another addition is their partnership with EyeMed, which gives Boyd drivers free vision coverage. EyeMed is part of the nationwide network that includes many of the major vision care companies.
In addition, Boyd Bros. also just added Pre Pass Plus to its company driver and owner-operator programs. This service allows drivers to bypass scales and pay tolls electronically.
Boyd is seeking experienced owner-operators and company drivers. For more information, call (800) 543-8923 or visit www.boydbros.com.
