Don Bowman, chairman and president of Bowman Group LLP, handed over the keys to a restored 1929 Seagraves fire engine to the Williamsport, Md., Volunteer Fire Company during the city’s recent Canal Days celebration.

The fire engine was purchased in 1929 for six $6,500 by the Williamsport Volunteer Fire Company and last saw major action in 1948 during a fire on Sunset and Artizan streets in Williamsport.
After 57 years and thousands of hours of restoration work, the 76-year-old fire engine was returned to the fire company.
The Bowman Group's heritage started in 1959 when Bowman founded D. M. Bowman, Inc., a transportation company providing truckload, warehouse and logistic services for clients east of the Mississippi River. Bowman has grown his organization from an independent trucking venture to a diversified enterprise earning more than $80 million annually.
