U.S. Companies Head for Russian Commercial Vehicle Trade Show

AutoTrans, the commercial vehicle and bus trade fair for Russia, to be held Sept. 13-16 in Moscow, has confirmed the addition of Payless Car and Truck Sales to the larger than expected roster of exhibiting companies from the U.S.

Although the market is considerable in size and the show boasts support from all the major associations in the country, there was little hope of recruiting many exhibiting companies from the U.S., given the response to last year’s show recruitment efforts. Nevertheless, a total of eight U.S.-based companies have confirmed their space selection and are poised to open the Russian market to their products and services.
Leading the U.S. group is the aftermarket division of International Truck & Engine, which will most probably probe the market’s bellwethers, in order to become OEM and aftermarket supplier to them. Other U.S. exhibitors include Illinois Auto & Truck, Payless Truck Sales, Ryder Truck Sales and S&S Truck Parts. Exhibiting companies from other nations include Mercedes Benz, Ford, Volvo, Scania, Tatra, Kamaz, Volkswagen, Hyundai and Mitsubishi.
