Beginning this summer, Michelin is launching a 14-state, 22-stop, multi-city tour to demonstrate its line of truck tires and new technologies all aimed at educating its U.S. commercial truck tire dealers and their customers.

Conducted by Michelin Americas Truck Tires, Michelin Earthmover Tires and authorized Michelin tire dealers, the “A Better Way Forward” tour features educational seminars designed to provide Michelin dealer personnel and customers information on important tire topics. A colorful tractor/trailer rig with graphics depicting all of Michelin’s products will visit up to 30 dealer locations throughout the Midwest, Northeast and Southwest this summer and fall.
The 53-foot trailer contains displays on Michelin’s full line of products that emphasize its historical commitment to technology and innovation.
At each location, A Better Way Forward classrooms will be set up in three tents outside of the Michelin Museum trailer featuring three separate training modules. Module I covers Tire Value, Module II Tire Applications and Module III Tire Forensics.
The 2005 tour began July 18 in Millbury, Mass., and ends on Oct. 14, 2005 in Evansville, Ind. Where space permits, the trailer and tents will be stationed at dealer locations.
Michelin manufactures and sells tires for every type of vehicle, including airplanes, automobiles, bicycles, earthmovers, farm equipment, heavy-duty trucks, motorcycles and the space shuttle. The company also publishes travel guides, maps and atlases covering Europe, Asia, Africa and North America. Headquartered in Greenville, S.C., Michelin North America employs 23,220 and operates 21 plants in 17 locations.
