Montana-based motor carrier Watkins and Shepard trucking is donating services to Operation Christmas Child (OCC).

According to OCC Montana co-director Farren Flynn, there are currently 22 sites around Montana where shoe-box gifts can be dropped off. Volunteers pack the boxes then help load a Watkins and Shepard trailer. Watkins and Shepard transports the shoe box gifts to its Helena terminal where they are loaded on two 53-foot trailers. More than 12,000 shoe boxes of gifts from around the state are hauled to Los Angeles to be processed and sent overseas. Transportation is provided free of charge by Watkins and Shepard Trucking. Flynn, who is a foreman at Watkins and Shepard’s Helena repair shop said the company has been donating its services to OCC since 1997.
