McGriff Transportation, Cullman, Ala., announced a two-cent per mile increase in pay for experience base-mileage scale for company drivers.

McGriff has maintained its two-cent per mile productivity bonus for owner-operators and company drivers and their one-cent per mile safety bonus.
McGriff introduced its productivity bonus earlier in 2004.
The bonus is awarded weekly to drivers based on total miles driven each week. Drivers make two cents per mile for running a minimum of 2,750 miles in a week.
“A lot of companies will only increase driver wages once a year. At McGriff we continually review our pay package and make improvement whenever possible. Due to a very successful year, this will be our third increase in the past 12 months,” said Gary Cornelius, director of Business Development for McGriff.
McGriff Transportation, the transportation and logistics division of McGriff Industries, operates approximately 250 late model power units. Driving opportunities include long haul, regional and dedicated driving runs.
