Mack Trucks, Inc. will again host a day of fun and community spirit during the 11th annual Bulldog Roundup event in Hagerstown, Md., this Saturday.

Since the first Bulldog Roundup was held at the Mack Hagerstown Powertrain Operations plant on Pennsylvania Avenue in 1993, the celebration has become a major Washington County event, raising more than $100,000 over that time for various nonprofit groups in the area through food sales and other activities. Admission to and parking at the Bulldog Roundup is free.
The 11th Annual Bulldog Roundup will begin with a 6:30 a.m.-to-10:30 a.m. breakfast, featuring all-you-can-eat pancakes. Throughout the day, the Washington County Lions Clubs will provide a wide variety of refreshments including country ham sandwiches, funnel cakes, homemade ice cream and other favorites. All proceeds from the sale of food and beverages benefit local charities.
The Mack and Non-Mack Truck Show and Rodeo runs from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., rain or shine. There is no entry fee for trucks in the show. Any driver with a valid CDL license may enter the rodeo. During the day, entertainment for children 12 and under will include special free games and arts and crafts sponsored by the United Auto Workers Locals 171 and 1247. There will also be pony rides, and other carnival rides. Those attractions will share the grounds with an Elvis Presley impersonator, a magician, carnival games, a "Dunk-A-Mack" dunking booth, and a toy truck show featuring the introduction of a die-cast truck model commemorating the 11th anniversary of the Bulldog Roundup available for purchase on a first come, first served basis.
One of the most popular events, "Drive-A-Mack-Truck-For-A-Buck," will also be available for those who have always wanted to sit behind the wheel of a big rig. All proceeds benefit the Marshall Street School.
The Roundup also will feature a classic car show by Mack employees, a walk-through tour of the Mack plant, and a live Bulldog contest at 9:30 a.m. Many trucking and automotive vendors will be displaying their wares for viewing and sale during the event. WLFT-WKMZ and WARX radio stations will broadcast live from the event.
