The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) is sponsoring a symposium titled "Enhancing Heavy Truck Safety, Security & Efficiency Through Technology" to be held Dec. 1-2, 2004 in Phoenix, Ariz.

The symposium will address important issues facing all aspects of the heavy vehicle industry and the cutting-edge technologies available to promote safety, ensure security and enhance efficiency. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Research and Special Programs Administration, Transportation Security Administration, Exponent and Qualcomm are participating in the symposium planning.
In addition to presentations and panel sessions on critical topics, static and dynamic demonstrations at the Exponent Track are scheduled the afternoon of Dec. 2.
