Roadway Express Inc., Akron, Ohio, has been recognized for its outstanding performance in the August issue of Logistics Management magazine
as one of the top "Quest for Quality" less-than-truckload (LTL) national carriers for 2003.
The transportation service provider has received this award for service excellence for 20 consecutive years and is a member of the Quest for Quality Hall of Fame.
This award is based on the response of 2,468 readers to this year's Quest for Quality survey, which is the largest customer satisfaction study in the transportation/logistics field. Respondents rated service providers on five key areas vital to logistics excellence: customer service, information technology, on-time performance, value and equipment and operations.
"We are proud to receive this prestigious award from the readers of Logistics Management," said Bob Stull, president of Roadway Express. "It is gratifying that our customers have ranked Roadway as a quality provider of transportation services, adding value to their supply chain. We have introduced high-performance expedited services and built responsive local Customer Care Centers that provide new levels of choice and flexibility for their shipping needs."
