USF Corp., Chicago, has launched an improved web site following input from its clients, on-site testing, and an experienced engineering team.

At every stage in the process, customer feedback played a critical role. The new site can be seen at www.usfc.com .
Visitors will find they can easily and rapidly access information on USF and its three primary business lines: LTL (less-than-truckload), TL (truckload) and Logistics. "Many customers had been doing business with only one of the USF divisions, yet expressed interest in information about all our services," explained Brian Chau, director of eBusiness for USF. "We've also given them the ability to set a particular line of services as their personal USF home page."
The most popular features of the previous edition of the web site were retained and given upgrades. These include LTL rate quotes; transit times for millions of regional service lanes; and LTL shipment tracking by PRO, Bill of Lading or Purchase Order number.
New features include online tools and tracking for the company's USF Mexico service, the most recent expansion of USF's product line. The site also boasts a number of technical improvements designed to provide the framework for fast deployment of even more customer-requested features currently under development.
In addition to the tools within the public Web site, USF's eBusiness group also deployed new features to the secure (password required) USF Net site, including a customizable business summary that allows a user to review summary snapshots of inbound, outbound and 3rd party shipments for multiple time periods.
