JDC Logistics and Stars Expedited, Franklin, Wis., recently hosted a trailer dedication on behalf of the United States Marine Corps' "1000 Truck Celebration."

Mike Page, director of recruiting, said the Marines contacted corporate managers at JDC and Stars and asked if they would allow the Marines to place recruitment graphics on several of their trailers. The Marines said they are attempting to increase awareness to those who might like to serve in the military – especially the United States Marines.
Both companies agreed to the proposal, and an unveiling of the trailers was held, sponsored by the Franklin, Wis., community.
As bagpipers played "Scotland The Brave," the Franklin Police and Fire Departments escorted the trucks to the dedication site.
"The Marines asked if we would donate the use of a few trailers," Page said. "We gave them 100 brand new Great Dane trailers as they arrived at Trudell in Milwaukee, Wis."
On hand for the dedication was U.S. Army Col. Robert Roth (Ret.), of the Employer Support Guard & Reserve (ESGR). Roth presented JDC & Stars with an ESGR award from the Department of Defense.
