CFI, an international truckload carrier based in Joplin, Mo., has announced its driver award recipients for September 2003.
-- Company Driver of the Month: Edward Davis, who started driving with CFI in 1996. He resides in Yoakum, Texas.
-- Company Team of the Month: Tony Heath, Sr. and Janet Heath joined CFI six years ago. They live in Ludington, Mich.
-- Contractor Driver of the Month: Leonard Domina, Sr. resides in Sparta, Mich. He joined CFI 12 years.
-- Contractor Team of the Month: John & Sherri Dillinger live in Grove, Okla. They started driving with CFI four years ago.
Winners are automatically nominated for the 2003 year-end award in their respective category. All full-time over the road drivers who have been certified as a driver at CFI for one year are eligible for the CFI driver awards.
CFI, founded in 1951, operates 2,400 tractors and more than 6,300 trailers. It transports a variety of goods throughout the contiguous United States and Canada. CFI interlines with Mexican carriers at various border crossings to provide through-trailer service to Mexico. In addition to its Joplin headquarters, CFI operates five terminals. CFI and its subsidiaries have 37 sales offices throughout North America and employ more than 2,700 people. The driver fleet is comprised of both company drivers and independent contractors.
