Schneider National Inc., the Wisconsin-based transportation and logistics services provider and truckload carrier, has been named to InformationWeek 500, a prestigious listing of the most innovative users of information technology in the United States.

This marks the sixth consecutive year that Schneider National has made the listing. This year, the company was ranked among the top 15 in the "Logistics and Transportation" industry category.
Schneider National has a long history of developing and implementing technology to gain strategic business advantage. The company's inclusion in this year's InformationWeek 500 list is due largely to continued development of Schneider Logistics' SUMIT supply chain execution technology and the success of SUMIT CVA, a freight procurement tool that leverages combined value auction principles to help shippers find long-term, affordable freight contracts with transportation carriers.
For 15 years, the InformationWeek 500 has tracked organizations' IT agendas, providing a unique opportunity to understand and examine their business practices across core areas of operations.
"Schneider National continues to grow its IT budget and invest in technology development that enables us to deliver the best transportation solutions and business intelligence to our customers and enables them in turn to increase their own competitive advantage," said Steve Matheys, CIO, Schneider National Inc.
