G.I. Trucking Co. has moved from its current 45 door, six-acre terminal/service center to a 64-door facility on 14 acres in Fontana, Calif.

Expansion plans for this service center include an additional 60 doors and a shop facility by 2005.
The new service center is located at 10376 Cherry Avenue in Fontana.
In addition to handling customers' western state shipments, the G.I. Trucking service center is a gateway for the ExpressLINK North American service network that includes national and international market destinations.
According to Fran Glidewell, vice president for sales and marketing, the company anticipates handling between 1,100 and 1,500 shipments per day, totaling about 1.25 million pounds per day.
G.I. Trucking provides direct less-than-truckload (LTL) service to 13 western states from 58 terminals. It also offers transportation service to every state and all of Canada through its ExpressLINK North American service network.
