Averitt Express, a Cookeville, Tenn.-based freight transportation and supply chain management provider, has received an Outstanding Service award from DuPont Logistics.
The award is based on the carrier's record of customer satisfaction, safety and zero distribution incidents in 2002.
Averitt was among 23 U.S. motor carriers honored during the recent annual DuPont Package Carrier Safety and Security meeting in Wilmington, Del., attended by more than 150 representatives from about 80 package truck carriers.
