Members of the National Small Shipments Traffic Conference (NASSTRAC) have selected FedEx Freight, a leading provider of regional and interregional less-than-truckload (LTL) freight services in the U.S.
and a subsidiary of FedEx Corp., as the organization's Carrier of the Year in the multi-regional category.
NASSTRAC's annual awards recognize a carrier's excellence in innovation and industry leadership, technology, claims prevention, rating and billing accuracy, service performance and support of NASSTRAC.
"It's an honor to once again receive this award from NASSTRAC and its members because it validates our efforts to be the industry's premier multi-regional carrier," said Douglas G. Duncan, president and CEO of FedEx Freight. "We appreciate this recognition of our collective commitment to continually raise the bar on service excellence."
The Carrier of the Year competition is also sponsored by Logistics Management magazine. The 2003 awards were announced at NASSTRAC's fall meeting in Dallas.
Founded in 1952, NASSTRAC is the only shippers' association in the nation focused on essential transportation and supply chain activities.
