New Penn Motor Express Inc., Lebanon, Pa., has been named the LTL Carrier of the Year by the GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Northeast Regional Distribution Center for a fourth consecutive year.
GlaxoSmithKline monitors the performance of its carriers on several key service measures, including on-time deliveries, cargo claims, delivery exceptions and the ability to provide timely proof of delivery. New Penn outperformed all other LTL carriers serving the GlaxoSmithKline distribution center.
"New Penn's reliability and consistency have been remarkable over the years," stated GlaxoSmithKline distribution center supervisor, Bob Richards. "We have used many other LTL carriers over the years, and while some have offered lower prices, none have matched the service New Penn provides to our customers."
New Penn Motor Express Inc. provides next-day regional less-than-truckload motor carrier service through a network of 24 terminal facilities located in the northeastern United States, Quebec, Canada and Puerto Rico. New Penn employs more than 2,000 people and operates a fleet of more than 800 tractors and 1,600 trailers.
