Professional drivers across the United States and Canada will again have the opportunity to test-drive the new Volvo VN, as the Drive the Future tour hits the road this spring, courtesy of Volvo Trucks North America Inc.

Four new Volvo VNs will be part of the tour: two VN780s (with 500 hp Cummins ISX engines), and a VN670 and VN630 (both with the newly released 465 hp Volvo VE 465 engine).
All the trucks will be hitched to loaded trailers, to give drivers a real feel for the engines' power and performance.
The tour will take place at nearly two dozen Petro Stopping Centers and other truckstops. Volvo Trucks and Volvo Commercial Finance representatives will be on hand to answer questions and explain the features of the new series. "Last fall's Drive the Future tour was so successful that we knew we had to do it again in 2003," said Susan Alt, Volvo Trucks vice president of marketing. "More than 600 drivers took part in the first tour. This time, we want to give at least 1,000 drivers the chance to spread the word."
Full details about the Drive the Future tour, along with photos and comments from drivers participating in the first tour can be viewed at www.volvotrucks.us.com.
For a sneak preview of the trucks and trailers on this spring's tour -- painted in the Roush Racing and Dale Earnhardt team graphics -- visit the Volvo Trucks booth (No. 3500) at the Mid-America Trucking Show and take a pre-tour ride and drive.
Equipment from these 2003 Drive the Future co-sponsors will be featured on the tour's trucks and trailers, including Michelin, Cummins, Eaton, ArvinMeritor, Jost, ConMet and Great Dane.
