"Solutions You Need, Sources You Can Trust" is the theme for the Technology & Maintenance Council's 2002 Fall Meeting,
set for Oct. 14-17 at the Adam's Mark Hotel in Charlotte, N.C.
The four-day meeting includes technical sessions on newly developed practices in radial tire conditions analysis and guidelines for heavy-duty battery selection and maintenance. Technical sessions, presented by trucking industry maintenance professionals, include practical hands-on demonstrations. Other sessions will cover the best methods for troubleshooting combination vehicle ride complaints, proper maintenance procedures for fan drives and how to use existing vehicle electronics to enhance operations.
Efficient communication of business data, via various electronic systems and devices, will be demonstrated during a double technical session presented by trucking industry suppliers. Presenters will focus on how business process solutions can improve motor carriers profitability and cash flow. Other information technology session offerings include data security for wireless terminals, the latest EDI and XML standard developments and how to work with Dept. of Defense shippers.
Meeting highlights include a special blue ribbon panel on the "Future of Mobile Intelligent Asset Management" and industry luncheon speaker Ryder President & CEO Greg Swienton.
