As FedEx Freight kicks off its re-branding campaign, the company also announced a series of new service offerings to meet demand for high service shipping options.

The service enhancements include expansion of FedEx Freight's next-day reach, expedited shipping and money-back guarantee programs.
The re-branding, announced last February, applies a common branding system to FedEx Freight's two independent operating companies, formerly American Freightways and Viking Freight. With the re-branding roll out, thousands of tractors and trailers, new driver uniforms and building signs will begin to feature the purple and red FedEx Freight logo. FedEx Freight expects to complete the re-branding process within 36 months.
"FedEx Freight East" and "FedEx Freight West" - referring to the geographic coverage areas of the two regional LTL carriers - will distinguish the independent operating units, when necessary.
On June 10, FedEx Freight East will launch a pioneering service, FedEx Freight Next Day Plus, to help companies in reducing inventory cycle times. With the new money-back guaranteed service, FedEx Freight East will deliver shipments via truck in selected lanes up to 900 miles by the next business day, well over the regional LTL industry standard of up to 500 miles by the next day. FedEx Freight East will use 42 hubs in the Midwest, South, Southeast, and Northeast to offer Next Day Plus in specified markets throughout its 40-state network.
FedEx Freight Next Day Plus is designed for businesses that are challenged to keep inventories low or to get their products to specific markets consistently ahead of the competition. For example, a qualified shipment of time-sensitive printed material picked up by 11 a.m. on Tuesday would be delivered 900 miles away by the close of business on Wednesday, trimming a day out of the shipper's supply chain. The extended coverage of FedEx Freight Next Day Plus may even allow shippers to eliminate costly distribution centers, while still getting products to market in the time they need.
FedEx Freight West's transit times are now backed with a money-back guarantee option called FedEx Freight EZ Guaranteed. Designed for shippers who want to give their customers an extra level of assurance when a shipment absolutely needs to be there, EZ Guaranteed offers day-definite delivery to all points FedEx Freight West serves directly. If delivery commitments aren't met, the customer automatically receives a zero dollar invoice.
In addition, FedEx Freight West is introducing the FedEx Freight EZ Expedited program for customers' urgent situations that require expedited delivery. The EZ Expedited program provides a dedicated team of transportation experts, 24 hours a day, seven days a week to create tailored shipping solutions to help shippers meet tight deadlines. Time specific requirements may include: reduced transit days, after hours pick up or delivery, or same day delivery. EZ Expedited is also backed with a money-back guarantee.
FedEx Freight will also launch a fully functional integrated Web site on June 10, combining the resources of its regional operating company Web sites to create a one-stop LTL information source. The new site will provide easy access to all of the tools and functionality LTL shippers accessed on the former American Freightways and Viking Freight sites, including the ability to track and trace shipments, obtain customized rate quotes, place pick-up orders, receive automated shipping notifications, secure personalized transit reports, and more. The FedEx Freight site is located at www.fedexfreight.fedex.com.
