Roadway Express, Akron, Ohio, has been honored as the "2002 LTL Nationwide Carrier of the Year" by the National Small Shipments Traffic Conference.

"The trucking industry as a whole has made tremendous strides in recent years in terms of enhanced services to support supply chain improvements," said NASSTRAC Executive Director Debra Phillips. "Further, NASSTRAC and the trucking industry share many common goals and issues. We are pleased to recognize Roadway as our national LTL carrier of the year, and we value our relationships with all of our associate members."
The voting members of NASSTRAC evaluate carrier performance in a variety of areas, including innovation, industry leadership, rating and billing, e-commerce, service performance, support of NASSTRAC's objectives, loss and damage prevention and technology.
Roadway has been the recipient of the LTL Carrier of the Year Award for 13 consecutive years, and 14 of the 16 years the Award has been given. Roadway was selected as best in its category from a field of nationwide, regional or multi-regional less-than-truckload carriers.
NASSTRAC is a shippers' association focusing on essential transportation, including less-than-truckload and package shipments and supply chain functions.
