New Jersey-based LTL carrier Jevic Transportation is opening its first West Coast facility in Los Angeles.

The addition of the new Los Angeles Metro facility, located in Fontana, is designed to help Jevic better serve the needs of clients from coast to coast.
"With the addition of our West Coast facility, if a Los Angeles customer ships an order to Chicago on Friday, by Monday the product will have arrived at their customer's dock,” said Paul Karvois, President and CEO of Jevic Transportation.
In the first phase of operation, the Los Angeles facility, which will staff local drivers, dispatchers, and account managers, will move freight from the Greater Los Angeles region to the Midwest and the Northeast states.
The second phase will provide delivery service into Texas and the remaining Jevic facilities nationwide.
In response to customer demand for expanded Breakbulk-Free service, the company offers Los Angeles Metro area customers some of the fastest and consistent service available coast-to-coast today with one carrier, according to Jevic.
Jevic Transportation Inc. is a subsidiary of SCS Transportation, Inc., a regional carrier holding company, that is a wholly owned subsidiary of Yellow Corporation.
