Con-Way Central Express, a regional less-than-truckload carrier, has opened its newest service center near Burlington, Vt.
According to company officials, the new facility will significantly improve pickup and delivery service to Burlington and surrounding communities.
The 16-door, 7,500-square-foot service center is located on 6.4 acres in Williston, Vt., one mile off Interstate 89. The new location will give the company's trucks easier access to all communities in Vermont and provide earlier delivery and pickup times to customers in the greater Burlington area.
The facility will provide next-day delivery service to most of the Northeast including Philadelphia.
Headquartered in Ann Arbor, Mich., CCX has 8,100 employees, operates 247 service centers and has a fleet of more than 7,800 tractors and trailers.
