Knight Transportation, Phoenix, Ariz., saw its fourth-quarter and 2001 revenues and income increase compared to the previous year.

For the fourth quarter of the year, revenue, before fuel surcharge, increased 15.5% to $65.1 million from $56.4 million for the same quarter of 2000. For 2001, revenue, before fuel surcharge, increased 16.5% to $241.7 million from $207.4 million for the same period of 2000.
For the quarter, income from operations increased 35.3% to $11.7 million from $8.6 million for the same period in 2000. For the year, income from operations increased 23.5% to $39.6 million from $32 million for the same period in 2000.

On Dec. 28, 2001, Knight effected a 50% stock dividend. This was the third dividend in four years, with a previous 50% stock dividend on June 1, 2001.
