CFI, Joplin, Mo., announced an increased in its owner-operator pay by 2 cents per mile.

This increase, which takes effect Jan. 1 when the contract hauling agreements are renewed, makes the base pay for owner-operators 82 cents per mile. Productivity increases will still be added as before.
The owner-operator increase follows a pay increase announced recently for company drivers.
"It's time to provide some positive reinforcement for professional drivers," says Glenn Brown, chairman and CEO. "Although the transportation industry in general has gone through an economic decline, CFI is still strong. We're providing this raise in pay to show support for our contractors."
