Trism is getting out of the oversize/heavy haul business.

This division, which transports heavy weight and over-dimensional materials, as well as general freight, will cease picking up shipments as of the close of business today.
The Kennesaw, Ga.-based company will be left with only its Secured Division, which specializes in transporting munitions, explosives and hazardous and radioactive waste.
This appears to be a change in strategy for the financially troubled carrier. Just last month, Trism announced it would drop its general freight and hazardous waste business, but concentrate on its core profitable businesses in heavy haul, government munitions, commercial explosives, and radioactive waste. In February, Trism announced the sale of its Super Heavy Haul Division to Houston-based specialized heavy hauler Emmert International.
Trism says it is currently in discussions with its equipment lenders to reschedule equipment payments and to return excess tractors. In order to further reduce costs and generate cash to pay down debt obligations which are currently in default, the company will also close terminal facilities, sell trailers and terminate substantially all driver and non-driver personnel associated with the Heavy Haul Division.
