CFI, Joplin, Mo., is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

The truckload carrier started out with two trucks and three employees. Today it has revenues of more than $321 million and operates more than 2,000 tractors and 6,000 trailers. CFI interlines with Mexican carriers at various border crossings to provide through-trailer service to Mexico. In addition to its Joplin headquarters, CFI and its subsidiaries operate five terminals and 39 sales offices. The driver fleet is made up of both company drivers and independent contractors.
"After 50 years, CFI is still going strong through the economic challenges of this day and age," says Glenn Brown, chairman and CEO.
