Atlas Van Lines' Relocation Services and Specialized Transportation groups helped lead Atlas World Group to 2000 revenues 16% above the previous year and nearly double those reported five years ago.

Net income totaled $10.6 million, a 19% increase over 1999 and an increase of 70% over five years previously.
Most of the growth came from the Relocation Services Group (formerly known as the Household Goods Division) and Specialized Transportation Group (formerly known as the Special Products Division, handling the transport of sensitive or high-value goods).
The relocation group showed a nearly 14% increase in revenues over the previous year, while the specialized group revenues jumped more than 50%.
Atlas World Group is based in Evansville, Ind., and is the nation's third-largest carrier of household goods.
