Dick Simon Trucking Increases Pay

Dick Simon Trucking, Salt Lake City, announced the largest pay increase the company has ever offered.

Effective April 1, 2001, an experienced solo driver will be able to earn up to 37 cents per mile, according to the company. Experienced teams will be able to earn up to 40 cents per mile. This is an increase of up to 5 cents per mile.
Dick Simon recently completed acquisitions of Westway Express and Ort Trucking, giving them 270 more tractors. It also let the company hire 337 company drivers and sign on 77 owner-operators. Recently the company ordered 500 new trailers.
