The International Memorial Parade of Lights and Truck Show, originally scheduled for Oct. 27-29, has been postponed until October 2001.
A new date will be announced soon.
Waynne Phillips and Keith Hessey, managers of the Virginia State Fair and the Hampton Roads Harvest Fair, recently reached an agreement to begin planning a merger of the International Memorial Parade of Lights and Truck Show and the Hampton Roads Harvest Fair.
The October 2001 event will include a Memorial Parade honoring individuals who have died in truck related accidents, and will focus on educating children and adults on how to drive around big rigs. The event will also include scheduled tours of No-Zone trucks and activities for children. The foundation’s goal is 200 trucks for the event.
