The Maine Professional Drivers Assn. hosted its third annual Bangor Convoy For Kids on May 31. The parade featured 85 trucks and raised nearly $2,200 for the Children’s Miracle Network of Eastern Maine Medical Center.
The event - which also featured a truck show, state police K-9 demonstration and activities for kids - also served as a public relations boost for the industry, as MPDA members discussed the convoy and presented the check during the Chidren’s Miracle Network telethon.
For more information on next year’s event, contact the Maine Professional Drivers Assn., 35 Hospital St., Augusta, ME 04330.
