Anderson & Sons Trucking, Reno, Nev., closed their doors Tuesday, Sept. 19, after 23 years in business.

Anderson operated terminals in Reno, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas and Phoenix. They had 94 employees and operated 40 power units and more than 200 trailers.
Applegate Logistics of Sacramento, Calif., has assumed some of the single-line traffic that Anderson handled. Applegate is focusing on the Reno/Salt Lake City lane where they have existing operations. Applegate opened a Salt Lake City terminal Sept. 20 to serve the Ogden, Provo and Salt Lake City markets.
Michael Applegate, President of Applegate Logistics says that Anderson has served an important niche market and that they will continue to accommodate Anderson's customers, using Applegate Logistics' existing operations and those of trucking partners.
