Moyes Completes Sale of Simon Shares

Salt Lake City, Utah-based Simon Transportation Services announced that Jerry Moyes has wrapped up the purchase of all of Dick Simon’s shares of Simon Transportation at $9 each.

Dick Simon resigned as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the company, and Moyes was elected as the new Chairman of the Board. Jon Isaacson, formerly the Vice President of East Coast Operations of Swift Transportation, was appointed to serve as Simon's Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Dick Simon and Kelle A. Simon, Simon's President, will continue to serve as directors, but all other directors resigned. Other senior executive officers of Simon will continue to serve in their existing capacities.
