Crown Pacific Partners, an integrated forest products company, has announced the sale of its independent operating subsidiary Yellowstone Trucking to B.I. Holdings of Missoula, Mont.
B.I. Holdings also owns Bitterroot International Systems, a truckload carrier based in Missoula. The deal is expected to close Sept. 30.
Under the agreement, Crown Pacific will sell Yellowstone's operations and assets, including its real property and terminal in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. All of Yellowstone's 18 administrative and shop employees, its 40 drivers and its 54 owner-operators, will be offered positions with the new Yellowstone operation. The company will continue to operate under the same name and at the same location.
