The Canadian National Railway Co./Illinois Central railroad, Chicago, plans to build a super rail and truck terminal in Memphis, Tenn.

According to company officials, a tentative agreement has been reached with the city, county and state officials to begin construction of the first phase of the railroad-truck intermodal facility.
According to Associated Press reports, the terminal will be called Super Terminal-Memphis and is expected to take about 15 months to build once the agreement has been finalized.
Randy Richardson, deputy director of the Memphis and Shelby County Port Commission, said there are 1,000 acres in southwest Memphis being set aside for the project.
