The owner of a truck involved in an accident involving an Arbutus, Md., footbridge last year has agreed to a $2.6 million settlement with the accident’s victims.

The insurance company for T.T.K. Transport of Ontario has agreed to pay the money to three people who were injured and to the family of a man that was killed in the accident. The company’s truck was improperly loaded when it crashed into the bridge and rammed into three cars. The state of Maryland also received $100,000 to pay for damage to the bridge.
The agreement with T.T.K. was reached on June 3, but details of the settlement were not released until this week, after the money was distributed.
