Simon Transportation Reports Third Quarter Losses

Rising fuel costs continue to hamper Simon Transportation Services’ ability to maintain a profit.
The Salt Lake City-based trucking company announced its fiscal third quarter results Friday. Revenues for the third quarter increased 13.7% to $60.9 million, compared with $53.6 million last year. Net loss was $267,000 or 4 cents per diluted share for the quarter.
