FedEx Ground (formerly RPS) broke ground yesterday on a 156,000-square-foot addition to its corporate headquarters in Moon Township, PA. Construction is expected to be completed by late summer of 2001.
The addition is part of a three year expansion plan the company announced in January 1999 to boost the capacity of its national network by 50 percent.
FedEx Ground opened 66 terminals nationwide earlier this year when it launched FedEx Home Delivery, its new business-to-residential service.
