Werner Announces Earnings, Personnel Changes

Operating revenues and earnings for the fourth quarter and year ended Dec. 31, 1999 were up for truckload carrier Werner Enterprises.
Operating revenues for the fourth quarter increased 21% to $280.6 million compared to $232.3 million in the fourth quarter 1998. Operating revenues increased 22% to $1.05 billion for the full year 1999, up from $863.4 million in 1998.
Werner also announced the following management changes: Robert Synowicki, Jr. to executive vice president and chief information officer; Gregory L. Werner continues as president and adds the responsibility of chief operating officer; Mark A. Martin from senior vice president-marketing to executive vice president-marketing and operations; and Daniel H. Cushman from vice president-sales to senior vice president-van division.
