Nearly 70% of owner-operators say the deciding factor in purchases is price, according to a recent study.

RoadStar's Profile of the Interstate Trucker, Part II Buying & Maintenance Practices, also found that 50% also cited engine type, reliability and cab comfort as key factors.
The study provides additional information on the buying practices of owner-operators. It is available free of charge to advertisers in Newport media. Non-advertisers can purchase the study for $250. Contact Joanne Costin, director of marketing services at jcostin@heavytruck.com.
