New England Motor Freight expects to move its offices and shipping operations into a terminal building in the Harrisburg, PA, area early next year.
Located on a 10-acre site in Camp Hill, the terminal will have 88 bays, a six-bay shop, an attached wash bay and a large
administrative section attached to the dock area.
According to Stacy Kyler, regional operations manager, the facility will help NEMF provide better service to its customers and enable the company to increase its business in central Pennsylvania and grow its dock distribution business.
Purchased from Nations Way Transport, the Harrisburg terminal will replace the present facility in Mt. Joy, PA. The current terminal has a workforce of about 50, and if business in the
new location grows as expected, Kyler anticipates the addition of staff at all levels.
The family owned less-than-truckload carrier is based in Elizabeth, NJ, and currently operates 30 terminals throughout the Northeast, Florida and Canada.
