A "Parade of Pride" through downtown Reno, NV, tonight will kick off the third TruckerFest, sponsored by Newport Communications and the Alamo Travel Center in Reno/Sparks, NV.

Registration for the National Assn. of Show Trucks competition starts at noon today at the Alamo. Staging for the parade will commence at 6 p.m. at the travel center, and the parade will begin at 7 p.m.
Tomorrow TruckerFest begins in earnest. Exhibits will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Alamo Travel Center. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., free steaks will be served to CDL holders. At 12:30, RoadStar Editor At Large Bette Garber will do beauty makeovers for lady truckers. From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., truckers will compete for prizes in trucker games. And at 7:45 p.m., there will be a free outdoor Waylon Jennings concert for truckers and their families.
