Highway Angel Helps Incapacitated Motorist

The Truckload Carriers Association has named Robert Tyler, a resident of Marysville, Washington, as a Highway Angel. Tyler, who drives for Smokey Point Distributing of Arlington, Washington, is being recognized for his willingness to help not only an individual motorist, but also the general public.

Professional Truck Driver Helps Subdue a Wanted Criminal

Harry Welker of Broken Arrow, Okla., who is a professional truck driver for Melton Truck Lines, Inc., of Tulsa, Okla., has been named a Highway Angel by the Truckload Carriers Association. Welker is being recognized for helping to subdue a belligerent man who was involved in a “life and death struggle” with a state trooper.

Professional Truck Drivers Deliver a Baby Boy at Denny’s

Two professional truck drivers have been credited for delivering a baby in an unusual location and saving his life. For their quick thinking and willingness to help, the men have been added to the Truckload Carriers Association’s roster of Highway Angels, professional drivers who stop to help others.

For stopping to help a driver who experienced a tire blowout on the highway, William McNamee of Christopher, Ill., has been named a Highway Angel by the Truckload Carriers Association. McNamee, who has driven trucks professionally for 22 years, is a company driver for Carbon Express Inc., of Wharton, N.J.

TCA Recognizes David Kus for Quickly Reacting to Danger

David Kus, of Fredericksburg, Penn., drives for Swift Transportation.

The Truckload Carriers Association has announced the name of its latest Highway Angel: David Kus of Fredericksburg, Penn., who drives for Swift Transportation. Kus is being recognized for acting quickly when a fellow motorist had an accident and then inadvertently put himself in more danger.
