South Carolina Sees 8% Increase in Container Volume

The SC Ports Authority reported a strong finish for the 2014 fiscal year on Monday with 8% container growth, an increase of 2% over projected plans.

South Carolina Ports Have Best Month Since May 2008

The increase in pier containers pushed fiscal year 2014 volumes up by 5.5% year-over-year. April's pier container volume represented a 12.3% increase over April 2013 and a 21.7% increase over April 2012.

Millard Refrigerated Services Locating New Facility in S.C.

Millard Refrigerated Services announced plans to develop and operate a new cold storage distribution facility in Charleston County, S.C. "The facility will give us access to the world-class port in Charleston and provide an efficient hub for our customers along the East Coast and throughout the Southeast," said Lance Larsen, president and CEO of Millard Refrigerated Services.
