Southbound I-35W from Highway 55 to 46th Street will close Friday, Aug. 8 at midnight through 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The southbound lanes of I-495 through Wilmington, Del., have opened a month ahead of schedule following the realignment of the southbound lanes of the I-495 bridge spanning the Christina River, according to the state DOT.

The Colorado Department of Transportation has started work on the Eastbound I-70 Peak Period Shoulder Lane project creating temporary eastbound express lane between Idaho Springs and Empire, but commercial trucks will not be able to use them.

Delaware I-495 Bridge Set to Reopen by Labor Day

The Delaware Department of Transportation reports the southbound lanes of the I-495 bridge spanning the Christina River in Wilmington, could be open as soon as Labor Day this year, and the northbound lanes will be opened several weeks after that.

Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell announced that the Commonwealth Transportation Board has awarded $168 million worth of transportation projects. Construction will soon begin on projects to replace bridges and widen and improve roads in several areas of the state.

Virginia I-95 South Bridge Closed For Construction

All I-95 southbound traffic will be directed to Exit 148, MCBQ, Russell Road east to U.S. Route 1 south to Garrisonville Road (Route 610) and back to I-95 south.

Weather permitting, this Friday night, Oct. 18 and Saturday night, Oct. 19 starting at 9:30 p.m., the Virginia Department of Transportation will begin to close lanes on I-95 south just before Marine Corps Base Quantico Russell Road to Garrisonville Road progressing to a full closure of I-95 south from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m., Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Ground Broken for I-95 & Pennsylvania Turnpike Interchange

In the not too distant future, traffic will finally be able to travel between Interstate 95 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike without having to use other roadways.
